Micro needling is used to treat and improve conditions like acne scarring, fine lines and wrinkles, loose skin, skin texture, pore size, brown spots, stretch marks, and pigment issues. During your consultation, Dr. Villasenor will perform a skin analysis and then develop your unique plan. From there, he will discuss your treatment costs and what to expect during the procedure. During the micro-needling process, channels are created in your skin that make it easier for treatments to penetrate the lower layers. That's why micro-needling is frequently combined with other treatments, like special serums or platelet-rich fibrin (PRF). In your initial consultation, we will discuss what treatments would enhance your micro-needling and which can help your skin's health. Typically, patients get 3 – 6 treatments to receive their best results. However, the number of treatments you require will depend on your skin's condition and your goals. Microneedling may be done every 4 – 6 weeks as needed. During your initial consultation, Dr. Villasenor will be able to estimate how many treatments you will want based on your skin and goals. Once your skin goals are reached, we suggest receiving maintenance sessions about twice a year.
